# Mobile app

> The InboxMate mobile app: approve pending decisions on the go and get push notifications for new Freigaben and matched categories.

<Note>
  **New — in beta.** The InboxMate mobile app is rolling out. Push notifications require the app installed and signed in, and some workspaces may not have push enabled yet.
</Note>

The InboxMate mobile app is a companion to the web app, focused on the one thing you want to do away from your desk: clear the **Entscheidungen / Freigaben** queue. When a category rule suggests an action that needs a human decision, the app can push it to your phone so you can approve or dismiss it in seconds.

## Install and sign in

1. Install the InboxMate app on your phone (iOS / Android).
2. Sign in with the **same InboxMate account** you use on the web at [app.psquared.dev](https://app.psquared.dev).
3. **Allow notifications** when prompted — this registers your device so InboxMate can push to it. Signing out unregisters the device, and you can revoke the permission any time in your phone's settings.

## Push notifications for the decisions queue

The app's core job is the [decisions queue](/user-guide/inbox/decisions) (**Freigaben / Entscheidungen**). When a new suggestion lands that needs a human decision, InboxMate can push a *"Neue Freigabe wartet"* notification that opens straight to the queue. From there you approve (**Ja**), re-route (**Anders**), or dismiss (**Ignorieren**) exactly as you would on the web.

Whether you get that decision push is controlled by the **"Benachrichtige mich, wenn eine Entscheidung ansteht"** setting (off by default) — see [Decisions queue](/user-guide/inbox/decisions).

## The "Mobile App" notify channel (per category)

Every categorizer's **Benachrichtigung senden** action has a **Mobile App** channel alongside **In-App**, **E-Mail**, and **Slack / Teams (Webhook)**. Toggle it on and the selected recipients get a push whenever that category matches — the notification carries the category, the email subject, the sender, and the AI's one-line summary. Recipients who haven't installed the app (or aren't signed in) are simply skipped, without blocking the other channels.

See [Categorizers → Notifications](/user-guide/inbox/categorizers#notifications-in-app-email-mobile-app-slack-teams) for the full notify-action setup.

## Per-event Mobile toggles (notification settings)

Your personal notification preferences under **Settings → Notifications** have a third **Mobile** toggle next to **In-app** and **Email**, per event (ticket assigned, chat handover, email received, and so on). Turn it on for the events you want pushed to your phone.

It's **off by default** and — like the notify channel above — only delivers once the app is installed and signed in. See [Notifications](/user-guide/workspace/notifications) for the full list of events and how per-event channels work.
